This Institute is set up by Tian Yu Semiconductor Technology Company and the Institute of Semiconductors , Chinese Academy of Sciences . Institute of Semiconductors , Chinese Academy of Sciences is one of the fist innovative engineering units , which also is a comprehensive institute that combines semiconductor physics , materials , devices and its application . The Institute has almost 10 years of technology accumulation in SiC epilayer materials and devices , and it ‘s the fist one to finish developing the dual furnace that can grow multiple epi-wafers . At the beginning , TYSiC spent tens of millions yuan in buying epitaxial layer growth equipments , and we started to produce under Japanese experts’ guidance .
The purpose of setting up the Institute is to enhance our country’s technological strength in researching and developing SiC materials and devices , to build a platform that has the advanced level of the word to develop SiC materials and devices , both are based on integrating the private capital , domestic high technology , and the advanced international technology efficiently . We can predict that both the Institute of Semiconductors , Chinese Academy of Sciences and TYSiC will take their advantages to carry out comprehensive cooperation in science and technology , to be responsible for national and local technologies , to cooperate on developing technologies and applying them , projects , results transformation , personnel training , to adhere to the oriented application for connecting edge technology and industries , to contribute to industry transformation and developments of economy in Dongguan , and make a new way for the Institute of Semiconductors to transfer and transform the technology .
